The previous post introduced this presentation. This presentation by SW regional President-Elect, Stephanie Paine-Phillips, was to teach local MSTA presidents how to use our new Professional Leadership Network. The network was created using a Ning to help local MSTA presidents collaborate, communicate, and learn. Our region is excited to lead the way for our state MSTA. MSTA already has a state PLN in the works.
Unfortunately, this workshop started off with people having trouble logging-in. Several helpers (including me) circulated during the workshop to individually help people get logged in. Stephanie did a great job despite any glitches. Give a listen.

On April 23rd the Southwest Region of the Missouri State Teachers Association launched their Professional Learning Network. I’m currently Vice-President of the region. When the region officers met this year. We wanted to help support our local MSTA presidents in serving their members. We wanted to help them communicate with, collaborate with, and learn from their fellow presidents. Social Networks seemed to be a natural fit.
This slide cast is the introduction I gave at our Leadership Conference on our Professional Leadership Network. It is an overview and rationale for using the network.
I recorded this episode a month ago, ala Bud Hunt, while driving back from an MSTA capitol lobby day. The recorder picked up a lot of the road noise, so I tried filtering it out using Audacity. I ended up sounding a little like a Cylon, but here is it. This podcast episode is how this podcast show started, my journey, and tips for creating your own podcast.

I finally got out this podcast. It has been several months since I recorded this interview. As a matter of fact, I had only been blogging for a week before I recorded this.
Kent King is the Executive Director of the
Missouri State Teachers Association. I interviewed him late one night after an evening cookout and campfire sing-along at the annual Leader U conference. He is an believes in doing what is right for students and giving teachers a voice in the political decision-making that shapes public education. He leads by listening and keeps MSTA on the right path toward the future of education in the 21st century.
This is the last in a series of interviews from that conference. I hope you enjoy.

This podcast is an interview with Todd Fuller, podcaster on The Pulse, MSTA’s podcast.
I recorded it this summer while at MSTAs resort for a leadership conference retreat. I had just started blogging and wanted to record some interviews for podcasts. I especially wanted to interview podcast pro, Todd. At that time, I had called my blog, Upgrade to School 2.0. I later changed it to a better name, What is School 2.0? Please leave comments, questions, feedback, and suggestions below. Enjoy.
