K12Online2007 Conference Reflection #16
This is my reflection on the K12 Online conference presentation:
Classroom 2.0
“Putting the Pedagogy into the Tools”
by Anne Davis
McDonough, Georgia, USA
What were the main points made during this session, the “takeaways?”
Animoto
Audacity
Flickr
Skype
Google Maps
Google Page Creator
MindMeister Skeleton Crew ipod
Newspaper Clipping Generator
PBWiki
SlideShare
Unforgiven psp Talking Cats Generator
Scribe Posts
In terms of your own professional development, what did you gain from the session?
I like the Flikr Storm site even better than just Flickr itself for finding images.
It seems like the Slidecasting would be an easy way to create an online movie from pictures.
I like Vokis better than the talking cat because you can actually hear them.
I hated this presentation. I know Ann put a lot of work into this project, but it took way too long to get through the materials. I already knew most of the tools and didn’t want have to follow so many links. I could have done that from Google or a blog post. I’m a visual learner. Give me a video, please.
What questions did you have after this presentation?
Wasn’t Darren’s scribeposts in his presentation?
How will you apply the learning to your professional situation?
I think I’ll have my students use Flikr Storm to get stories to put into Slideshare. They can then use Audacity to record their narrative to make it into a slidecast.
What other resources (including reading material) are relevant to this session?
