In terms of your own professional development, what did you gain from the session?
Wow! There are lots of possibilities with the cell phone’s built in camera and video.
I want to have several of these ideas ready when I make a case to administrators and school board for allowing cell phones in schools for pedagogical reasons.
What questions did you have after this presentation?
Our district policy currently bans cell phones from being on during school hours. How do I convince my administration to let me use cell phones in my school?
Does Text for Free still cost the receiver to get the txt message?
How many of these sending and receiving things on the phone will cost the students/parents money.
How will you apply the learning to your professional situation?
I would like to try Gcast or PrivatePhone to do student podcasting while outside the classroom, but my students are less than 13 years old.
I would love to have my students photoblog with an audio message.
1/2 my students had cell phones last year. I’ll have to check our school policy to see whether cell phones are banned completely at our schools.
What other resources (including reading material) are relevant to this session?
