		<description>James: I really like this idea of school 2.0 being all about making connections. As you indicate, focusing on the connections automatically ups the ante of thinking expectations beyond the lower levels of Blooms, to the arena of synthesis and evaluation where we should want students to go. I agree there is a place for memorization in school 2.0, but the focus is BEYOND memorization, to those higher order connections-- rather than remaining limited on fact recall. Connection making is much harder to assess in a &quot;standardized&quot; way, of course, but it is certainly not overly difficult to measure. Assessing connections requires a much more individual and differentiated approach to assessment, I think, which is also exactly what we SHOULD be seeing in school 2.0.
